Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for recruitment into the Federal Teachers’ Scheme (FTS) 2021/2022.
In this article, you will see how how to obtain FTS recruitment form, register and apply online for free. The federal teachers scheme is a 2 year intervention programme established by the federal government in 2006.
The aim is to help all states in addressing shortage of teachers at basic education. This includes all public primary and secondary schools in the country.

Eligibility and Qualifications
Candidates must check their eligibility before filling out federal teachers job form.
- Must have bachelor degree in education or bachelor degree with postgraduate diploma in education (PGDE)
- NYSC discharge certificate or letter of exemption from NYSC
- Nigeria certificate in education (NCE) with credit passes in teaching practice.
- Not currently employed or enrolled under NYSC or Npower
- Applicants should not be above 35 years
Applicants should also have specialization in any of the following subjects;
English Language
Mathematics
Integrated Science
Biology, Chemistry and Physics
Agricultural Science
Home Economics
Computer Science
Technical/Technology Education
Computer Science or Information Technology
Nigerian Languages
Physical and Health Education
Salary Structure
The federal government shall pay each participant of Federal Teachers’ Scheme allowance of N30,000.00 per month
Duration
The FTS will last for a period of two years. UBEC will also give notice on how long federal teachers scheme will last.

How To Apply
The method of application is strictly online. Interested and eligible candidates must visit www.ubec.gov.ng to complete the online application form.
Also, candidates will be asked to upload credentials on the site together with a recent passport photograph. Ensure you print your acknowledgement slip and keep your print out for reference purpose.
Starting Date: The application portal shall open for two weeks. The date is 10th – 24th September, 2020.
Candidates are required to register and submit application before the closing date. Applications will not be allowed after the deadline.
Screening Test
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Computer Based Test (CBT). The date for screening is Saturday, 10th October 2020. We have also published a post on federal teacher shortlisted candidates to guide you better.
Screening Venue: Screening and test will be conducted in state capital. The universal basic education boards (SUBEB) and UBEC zonal and state offices will give more details of the screening.
