This article will help you understand how to check your JAMB admission eligibility. Direct Entry candidates (DE) and UTME candidates must meet admission eligibility criteria.
First of all, JAMB will give you admission then send your name to your selected institution. This may take more than 24 hours for your name to reflect on school portal after JAMB have offered you admission.
In order not to miss your admission for this year, kindly read below to see requirements you need to meet before you will be considered for admission
JAMB Admission Eligibility 2020
You will see your eligibility status when you login to JAMB Caps portal. See eligibility criteria as stated by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board
- Candidate must meet the cut off mark for his or her preferred course
- Upload your O’level result on JAMB portal. (Credit passes in English language and mathematics are compulsory for most courses)
- Your O’level (WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB) must have at least 5 credit passes at relevant ssubjects
How To Calculate Your Average / Aggregate Results
To do this, you must have your total grades in JAMB exam and Post-UTME (aptitude test) screening. If you have good UTME and Putme screening result, then your eligibility status will also be high.
In addition, you may also be offered admission in department you did not choose in JAMB. If this happens, it means your school considered your for admission in another related course.
General Information On Admissions
If you participated in UTME examination and post UTME screening, then your admission is in progress. Candidates must accept their admission offer on JAMB Caps before school will give you admission. Most students miss their admission because they didn’t check or accept it on JAMB portal.
Make sure you collect your JAMB E-facility portal login from where you registered your JAMB. Then login often to check your admission status.
