JAMB To Decide 2021 Cut Off Marks June 16 After Admission Policy Meeting.
Oh yes! Finally the Joint Admission & Matriculation Board set to meet with heads of tertiary institutions for 2021/2022 admission policy.
Did you know that schools might be resuming very soon?. Well, now you know! The federal government has not been sleeping and neither have the commissioner for education and heads of tertiary institutions.
A lot of questions have been going viral as to the reopening of schools and when JAMB would releases 2021/2022 cut off mark. Also questions relating to the fate of 2021/2022 jambites and how admission would be this year. Subsequently, the arising questions pertaining to admission mode, JAMB cut-off mark, and other relevant issues would be treated.
However, due to the recent pandemic, and precautionary measures which are to be undertaken by everyone will still be kept. All the member of this board and heads of tertiary institutions would be meeting, but online.
This means that the meeting which was supposed to raise hundreds of numbers of people to gather would now be held online. This is as a result of trying to keep to the NCDC speculated safety measures.
If up to 4000 people are expected to be present considering that different higher institutions would be represented, it is crowd. Hence, the need to carry this meeting online is the best option, because there’s no time for delay anymore.
The meeting is scheduled to hold online on the 16th of June and would be streamed live for the public viewing. You follow up on JAMB portal, it’s Facebook and other social media page where it would be showing live.
Who Would Chair The Meeting?
This online policy meeting would be headed or chaired by Malam Adamu Adamu, the minister of education.
Which People Would Be Present In The Meeting?
Heads of regulatory agents and other educational stakeholders would be present in this meeting. Chairmen of committees on Education from lower and higher assembly would also be present.
What Is The Aim Of This Meeting?
It is believed that matters bordering the nation concerning university, polytechnic, colleges and other higher institutions admission policies would be reviewed.
The committee would review the past policies on admission and collectively set a standard for acceptable cut-off mark. This cut-off mark would be set for all tertiary institutions to heed.
Subsequently, other deliberations on Admission requirements and guidelines for 2021/2022 academic session would be discussed.
