New School Resumption Date
The Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, has said the federal government is considering two options for resumption of schools.
One of them will allow students writing exams to return earlier than others.
The second plan is running two classes; one in the morning and the other in the afternoon in the secondary schools. This will include mostly make up classes which will enable students meet up due to the delay.
There will also be special resumption guidelines for Universities, Polytechnics, college of education and other institutions.
All public and private schools must meet the requirements for resumption of schools. Any institution that did not follow the guidelines may be closed down by government.
However, the above plans have not been verified. The education department and the Nigeria Center for Disease Control are still working on school resumption date on in Nigeria.
We will publish the new school resumption date here once it is announced.
Moreover, all students should continue to stay at home and stay safe while we wait for ministry of education to announce date for school resumption.
