Requirements and Eligibility

Candidates seeking for teaching jobs must meet the job requirements and eligibility criteria. There are two categories of jobs you can apply for. To make this easier, we are going to split their various requirements below. They Includes non-academic or non-teaching staff and academic or teaching staff.

Requirements For Non-Teaching Staff

To apply for any vacancy under non-academic jobs, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria listed below;

• First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC)
• Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
• WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB result
• Other training certificates

Requirements For Non-teaching / Non-academic

Applicants seeking for teaching jobs should posses any of the academic qualifications listed here.

• SSCE, WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB with good grades
• Possession of National Diploma (ND)
• Higher National Diploma (HND)
• OND, NCE from any discipline
• Bachelor Degree or Master’s Degree in any discipline obtained from a recognized Institution
• NYSC discharge certificate or letter of exemption

General Requirements For Application

The documents below will be uploaded on-line during your application. All candidates / certificate uploaded during on-line registration will be presented during physical screening

• Guarantors form
• Letter of recommendation / reference
• Birth certificate from hospital, church, LGA or Court of Law
• Photocopies or your academic qualifications
• Application CV
• Valid email address and phone number
• Other supporting documents

How To Apply

To Apply for any teaching or non-teaching job, candidates must visit the official recruitment portal to obtain the form and fill it online. From time to time, federal government or state government will advertise new vacancies in the teaching sector.

To qualify and see your name in the shortlist, applicants must follow the registration instructions given there to avoid disqualifications.

Selection Procedures

After the online application, candidates who meet the job requirements will be Shortlisted for aptitude test / screening. It may be CBT (computer based test) or online test.

After the exams, successful candidates will be invited for face-to-face interview / oral screening. Then, final selection will depend solely on general performance of candidates. Those who passed the last stage / step will be given full-time or part-time employment in Primary and Secondary Schools across the state.
